My name is Isabel Rubio and I have an emotional link with the Mar Menor, as since I was born, I’ve spent part or the whole summer on its shores. My family and I have enjoyed the transparency and warmth of its waters, swimming, kajaking and snorkeling, and have marvelled at its sunsets for decades. I’ve been one of the first members of the Pacto por el Mar Menor, due to my concern about the collapse of this ecosystem. My role in this organization has been, mainly, helping with activities and events coordination, giving talks and writing posts in the blog to inform people of the Mar Menor news.
